Inspired Driving Academy LLC (hereafter IDA) agrees to provide the student the following driver’s education program and services based on the Ohio Driver Training Curriculum.
Payment and Refunds: Payment must be made in full prior to any lessons or instruction. NO REFUNDS will be given if IDA is willing and able to complete all training within six months from the date of the first day of class. IDA accepts cash and all major credit cards (VISA, MC, AMEX, or DISC). DUE TO COSTS INCURRED BY THE DRIVING SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY UPON PURCHASE, 10% OF THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Camera Usage: IDA utilizes cameras at the school and in all vehicles to ensure the safety of each student and instructor. Cameras are used in a professional, ethical, and legal manner and are limited to situations that do not violate the reasonable expectation of privacy as defined by law.
Classroom Theory: Teens may begin classroom sessions when they have reached the minimum age of 15 years and 5 months. All students must attend either 24 hours or 4 hours (Abbreviated Adult Only) of in-classroom or on-line equivalent training and pass a final score with a score of 75% or better. Students have 3 attempts to pass the final classroom exam. If the student cannot pass after the 3rd attempt, all training and associated costs must be repeated. Students are expected to be respectful and follow all classroom rules and instructions, failure to do so could result in expulsion from the class and will result in forfeiture of all training amounts paid to date. IDA will provide a licensed instructor for all training. Driving training schools and their instructors are licensed by the Department of Public Safety through the Ohio Driving Training Program Office, 1970 W. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223.
In-Vehicle Training: Once a student has a Temporary Permit, has paid in full and completed all required classroom training (either on-line or in person), in-vehicle lessons may be scheduled and completed. All lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel an in-vehicle lesson. A $50 rescheduling fee will be charged if we do not receive appropriate notice and is considered a “no-show”. A $150 rescheduling fee will be charged in the event a student cancels within 24-hours or arrives for his/her initial scheduled drive but cannot provide the ‘Certificate of Completion’ for the appropriate classroom training. In addition to the $150 rescheduling fee, all scheduled drives will be canceled and will not be re-booked until the ‘Certificate of Completion’ is provided. Rebooking is subject to the current availability. The ‘Certification of Completion’ must be dated no later than the date of the scheduled first drive.
All students must have their permit, wear closed-toed shoes with back covering the heal (no flip-flops, crocs, or slip-ons) and glasses/contacts (if prescribed) for all in-vehicle lessons. Students arriving for all in-vehicle lessons without any of these will result in a canceled lesson and rescheduling fee. The student must be on time for the appointment. The same no-show/rescheduling fee may apply if the student is more than 10 minutes late for the appointment.
To allow time for the student to practice key skills, IDA suggests at least two weeks between in-vehicle lessons. IDA instructors are not responsible for students prior to or after a scheduled class time or in-vehicle lesson. IDA does not allow enterprise-owned vehicles to be used for the license examination.
Certificate of Completion: IDA will issue a Certificate of Completion according to state rules for the successful fulfillment of all state requirements. Students will receive the Certificate of Completion via email within one week after completion of the program. If a Certificate of Completion is lost or misplaced, a duplicate certificate may be issued at a cost of $15.
Cancellation of Agreement: IDA reserves the right to cancel this agreement at any time, should the Student’s conduct indicate a lack of responsibility deemed necessary by IDA to safely operate a motor vehicle. Destruction of property, or the possession, distribution, or use of any tobacco product, alcohol, or drug of abuse is strictly prohibited. Should this agreement be cancelled under such circumstances, all fees may be pro-rated, based upon hours of services provided prior to cancellation.
