After successfully completing 24 hours of online instruction, students can begin their in-vehicle training. Our state-certified instructors provide a total of 8 hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction using our school fleet vehicles.
Students will complete four 2-hour driving lessons, each progressively increasing in difficulty to build confidence, safety awareness, and essential driving skills.
Scheduling & Expectations
Driving schedules are personalized based on each student’s experience, skill level, and permit expiration date. Ideally, lessons are spaced 1-2 weeks apart, allowing time for practice between sessions. Students will receive a call to schedule all lessons within 48 business hours after completing the online registration.
- Lesson Location: All driving lessons begin and end at Inspired Driving Academy (617 Carle Ave, Lewis Center, OH)
- Booking Requirements: To ensure availability and proper lesson spacing, please book within a three-month window before the desired test date.
- Practice Before Lessons: Students should complete at least 20 hours of driving with an adult before their first in-car lesson.
Student Expectations
To ensure a successful lesson, students must:
Bring a valid driving permit
Wear tennis shoes (No flip-flops, sandals, slides, or boots)
Arrive early and be ready to begin at the scheduled time
Failure to meet these requirements may result in a canceled lesson and a $50 no-show fee, as outlined in the Training Agreement.
Refund Policy
Due to costs incurred by the driving school upon registration, 10% of the total purchase price is non-refundable.
Limited Term Information
Issued to: Individuals who are temporarily residing in the U.S. (non-citizens, visa holders, international students, certain work permit holders).
If you have a temporary drivers license that looks likes like the below images, as of June 30, 2025, you are now required to take an Ohio-approved driver training course, and complete 50-hours of practice driving supervised by a licensed adult, prior to scheduling your Driving Tests with an Ohio Driver Examiner at www.ohiodrivingtest.com
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the same testing and driver education requirements as other Ohio drivers. Full driver’s education program, including:- 24 hours of classroom instruction
- 8 hours of in-car training with a licensed instruction
- Driving Affidavit: 50 hours of supervised driving with a licensed adult, documented on the official affidavit
