Beginning September 30, 2025, Ohio requires all new drivers ages 18–20 to complete the same training as minors.
- 24-hour online course (we recommend Too Cool Traffic School)
- 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a certified instructor
- 50 hours of supervised driving practice with a licensed adult (21+)
8-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Program (Ages 18–20)
Tuition: $575
- Four 2-hour lessons, scheduled at least one week apart
- Progressive lessons that build confidence and safety awareness
Program Details
- Lessons begin and end at Inspired Driving Academy: 617 Carle Ave, Lewis Center, OH
- Instruction provided in English
- Must complete a 24-hour online course and provide a Certificate of Completion before first drive
- At least 20 hours of supervised practice required before lessons
- Missed requirements may result in cancellation and a $50 no-show fee
Certification
Students who complete both the online course and in-car training will receive the official Ohio Class D Certificate of Completion, issued within 5–7 business days after the final drive.
